Why Now?

On May 2, a confirmed draft majority opinion from the Supreme Court shows that as soon as this summer, the Supreme Court may officially overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. This was the federal case that guarantees the right for people to choose and access abortion - without excessive government restriction.

Why Does This Matter?

Dramatic restrictions aimed at limiting and denying abortion access have gained momentum in states across the country. Now, with the Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe V. Wade, 26 states are certain or likely to ban abortion. According to Planned Parenthood, an estimated 36 million people could lose access to abortion.
